Chris Vicini
My work is primarily concerned with humankind’s relationship to the natural world. As human beings, our opinions about nature change with the ages, and I enjoy looking back to the art of other times. I have been working on installations of taxidermy and trophy head inspired pieces entitled “Mounted”. The objective is to make these creatures display as much of the majesty they had while alive. I make my own menagerie of less then majestic animals, hoping to foster a sense of empathy in the viewer for the characters I have created.
